Excerpt from Interview with Linda Driscoll Powers- “As I grew older, I realized that dancing was a powerful therapy. Whenever I felt down or upset, I would dance. I discovered the underground electronic culture—otherwise known as rave culture—in the mid-90s. This environment gave me an outlet to dance for hours on end, until I simply couldn’t stand any longer. There’s a sense of intense connection without saying a word. We got each other as we danced with each other, not necessarily touching, but sharing space.”
